  • Arthroscopy: Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure on a joint in which an examination and sometimes treatment of damage is performed using an arthroscope, an endoscope that is inserted into the joint through a small incision.   • TURP (Transurethral resection of the prostate): TURP is the surgical removal of part of the prostate gland. It is one option available to relieve the symptoms of an enlarged prostate or other benign (non-cancerous) prostate disease.

  • PCNL (Percutaneous nephrolithotomy): PCNL is a surgery to remove kidney stones that are too large to pass on their own. A healthcare provider usually suggests percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) when other methods to pass a kidney stone are unsuccessful or not possible.

  • TUL (Trans Ureteral Lithotripsy): TUL is a medical procedure used to break down kidney stones that are stuck in the ureter (the tube that connects the kidney to the bladder). The procedure involves using a special tool to break up the kidney stones into smaller pieces, which can then pass more easily through the urinary tract and be excreted from the body.

  • Ureteroscopy: Ureteroscopy is a procedure that uses a ureteroscope to look inside the ureters and kidneys. Like a cystoscope, a ureteroscope has an eyepiece at one end, a rigid or flexible tube in the middle, and a tiny lens and light at the other end of the tube.

  • Nephrectomy (nephro = kidney, ectomy = removal): This surgery is the surgical removal of a kidney. The procedure is done to treat kidney cancer as well as other kidney diseases and injuries. Nephrectomy is also done to remove a healthy kidney from a donor (either living or deceased) for transplantation.

  • CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft):  is a surgical procedure used to treat coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the narrowing of the coronary arteries. These are the blood vessels that supply oxygen and nutrients to the heart muscle.

  • TVR (Tricuspid Valve Repair) Replacement Surgery: Tricuspid valve repair is an open-heart procedure. Your surgeon may reshape the valve, or repair or separate fused valve leaflets. The operation can be done through a small incision on the side of the chest.

  • MVR (Mitral Valve Repair) Replacement Surgery: Mitral valve repair and mitral valve replacement are types of heart surgery to fix or replace a leaky or narrowed mitral valve. The mitral valve is one of four heart valves that control blood flow in the heart. It's located between the upper and lower left heart chambers.

  • AVR (Aortic Valve Repair) Replacement Surgery Aortic valve repair and aortic valve replacement are types of heart valve surgery. They are done to treat a damaged or diseased aortic valve. The aortic valve is one of four valves that control blood flow in the heart. It is between the lower left heart chamber and the body's main artery, called the aorta.

  • Bentall Surgery: The Bentall procedure is a surgery to replace part of the aorta and the aortic valve of the heart because of a bulge (aneurysm) in the aorta. The aorta is the large blood vessel (artery) that carries blood from the heart through the chest and belly to the rest of the body.

  • Colorectal Surgeries: Colorectal surgery is a field in medicine dealing with disorders of the rectum, anus, and colon. The field is also known as proctology, but this term is now used infrequently within medicine and is most often employed to identify practices relating to the anus and rectum in particular.

  • Appendectomy: An appendectomy or appendicectomy is a surgical operation in which the vermiform appendix is removed. Appendectomy is normally performed as an urgent or emergency procedure to treat complicated acute appendicitis. Appendectomy may be performed laparoscopically or as an open operation.

  • Myomectomy: Myomectomy, sometimes also called fibroidectomy, refers to the surgical removal of uterine leiomyomas, also known as fibroids. In contrast to a hysterectomy, the uterus remains preserved and the woman retains her reproductive potential. It still may impact hormonal regulation and the menstrual cycle.

  • Colposcopy: Colposcopy is a medical diagnostic procedure to visually examine the cervix as well as the vagina and vulva using a colposcope. The main goal of colposcopy is to prevent cervical cancer by detecting and treating precancerous lesions early.

  • Conization: A procedure in which a cone-shaped piece of abnormal tissue is removed from the cervix. A scalpel, a laser knife, or a thin wire loop heated by an electric current may be used to remove the tissue.

  • Hysteroscopy: Hysteroscopy is the inspection of the uterine cavity by endoscopy with access through the cervix. It allows for the diagnosis of intrauterine pathology and serves as a method for surgical intervention.

  • Ovarian cystectomy: Laparoscopic Ovarian Cystectomy is surgery to remove a cyst or cysts from one or both of the ovaries using small incisions and specialized tools. 

  • Ectopic Pregnancy Surgery: Salpingostomy and salpingectomy are two laparoscopic surgeries used to treat some ectopic pregnancies. In this procedure, a small incision is made in the abdomen, near or in the navel. Next, your doctor uses a thin tube equipped with a camera lens and light (laparoscope) to view the tubal area.

  • Septoplasty: Septoplasty, or alternatively submucous septal resection and septal reconstruction, is a corrective surgical procedure done to straighten a deviated nasal septum – the nasal septum being the partition between the two nasal cavities. Ideally, the septum should run down the center of the nose.

  • Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery: Functional endoscopic sinus surgery is a procedure that is used to treat sinusitis and other conditions that affect the sinuses. Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses that can cause symptoms such as congestion, headaches, and difficulty breathing through the nose.

  • Adenoidectomy: Adenoidectomy is the surgical removal of the adenoid for reasons which include impaired breathing through the nose, chronic infections, or recurrent earaches. The effectiveness of removing the adenoids in children to improve recurrent nasal symptoms and/or nasal obstruction has not been well studied.

  • Rhinoplasty: Rhinoplasty is a type of plastic surgery that changes your nose's shape and size. Some people have cosmetic rhinoplasty to improve how their nose and face look. Others undergo functional rhinoplasty, which improves breathing and nasal function.

  • Craniotomy: A craniotomy is a surgical operation in which a bone flap is temporarily removed from the skull to access the brain.

  • Anterior cervical discectomy: Anterior cervical discectomy is a common neurosurgery procedure that most notably treats herniated discs in the neck. The goal of the procedure is to remove the herniated disc to provide pain relief. This procedure is often recommended by neurosurgeons when pain cannot be managed through non-surgical treatments.

  • Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery: Minimally invasive spine surgery, also known as MISS, has no specific meaning or definition. It implies a lack of severe surgical invasion. The older style of open-spine surgery for a relatively small disc problem used to require a 5–6-inch incision and a month in the hospital.

  • The wound care team perform a comprehensive evaluation and then implement a treatment plan to meet each patient's individual needs. The goals of the team are to heal the patient's wound, educate the patient about effective wound management and prevent recurrence of the wound. The establishment of wound clinics offers comprehensive and specialized care for both acute and chronic complex wounds.
